What’s it like to live with arthritis?
We will soon be repeating the charity’s Unmet Needs survey to find out more about what it is like to live with arthritis. The original survey, which ran in 2015, helped to shape the work of the charity significantly. We use the results daily. But five years on, we feel now is the right time to check in on how things have changed, build our understanding and use the feedback to shape our products and services going forwards.
The survey will:
- be sent to over 2,000 people with arthritis via an online panel and shared with various stakeholder audiences to ensure we get the most diverse range of respondents as possible
- ask questions covering a wide variety of themes including wellbeing, community participation, work, education, treatments and healthcare services and COVID-19. It will also explore what kind of things would make a positive impact on their life
- be used by us to inform our decision-making on all aspects of the charity’s activities – from campaign or research priorities, to service provision improvements and everything in between.
We would like to ask you if you could help us to reach as wide an audience as possible, by sharing an invitation to complete the survey via your practice Facebook account, website or through any email distribution lists which you feel might be suitable. If you feel comfortable doing so, we have suggested some copy below – but this can obviously be amended as appropriate to suit your own style guidelines:
Our friends at Versus Arthritis want to understand more about life with arthritis. If you have arthritis, or someone close to you does, they would love to know more about your day to day challenges and what would make them easier. Your feedback will help the charity to demand and deliver better answers for people with arthritis and to develop products and services to meet your needs. Please complete their survey by 4 January 2021 – it will only take around 20 minutes - and help shape the future focus of the charity. All information you provide will remain anonymous and be treated in the strictest confidence.
