The patient lies supine with the knee in neutral position. The probe is placed longitudinally over the medial joint space. Skin, subcutaneous fat, hyperechoic superficial medial lateral collateral ligament with hypoechoic deep medial collateral ligament below, femur and tibia are visualised.
