Dorsal longitudinal scan (radial)

The patient sits, hand pronated, arm supported. The probe is placed longitudinally on the radial side of the dorsum of the wrist. Extensor pollicis longus, radial bone and carpal bones are visualised. The extensor tendon may be followed to its insertion.
