Working as part of a small multi-skilled team, the Infrastructure engineer is responsible for the implementation, management and on-going support of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.

About the role

The Versus Arthritis ICT team leverages the power of the Microsoft technology stack to support the organisation. Using Microsoft 365 and Azure SaaS, IaaS and PaaS implementations for various services as well as legacy on-premises solutions. Our ICT Strategy has been to move to the cloud, standing-down our on-premises resources. We are in the final stages of this migration, moving away from a hybrid model to entirely cloud-based solutions using AAD and Microsoft Endpoint Manager to support an organisation that has embraced flexible working practices.

We require an experienced Infrastructure engineer to help support this environment, with a strong background in on-premises solutions, but now fully focused on Microsoft’s cloud solutions. Working within a small infrastructure team, we’re looking for an individual with a passion for technology and wide-ranging knowledge, to help in the continued development of technologies that can really make a difference in supporting our people to deliver our organisational goals.

Key requirements

  • Significant technical experience within an IT support environment with, or working towards, appropriate Microsoft Azure Certifications (e.g. AZ103, AZ500) and ITIL Version 3 foundation qualification.
  • Significant technical experience of working in a network administration role, covering WAN, LAN and VPN technologies. With CCNA certification or equivalent experience.
  • High level of knowledge of Windows Server operating systems including active directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Virtualisation (Hyper-V), Failover Clustering (Server 2008 R2 – Server 2019).
  • Active interest in technology and a passion for using it to help people achieve more.

About us

There are 20.3 million people living with arthritis and MSK conditions in the UK. That’s one in three people, many who live in pain every single day. The impact is huge as the condition intrudes on everyday life – affecting the ability to work, care for a family, to move free from pain and to live independently. Yet arthritis is often dismissed as an inevitable part of aging or shrugged off as ‘just a bit of arthritis’. We don’t think that this is ok. Versus Arthritis is here to change that.

Join us and use your skills, knowledge, passion and energy to help us defy arthritis.
