Summary

The Legacy Administrator will join the Legacy Administration team, overseeing the receipt of gifts left in wills into the organisation. This is a fast-paced team with over 900 open files and requires excellent attention to detail. We are also looking for the following skills:

  • A good standard of education; minimum GCSE at Grade C or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience of performing successfully in a high-volume administrative role, which has required you to effectively manage your own work-load.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and the ability to build and develop key relationships.

About the role

The Legacy Administrator role is crucial in supporting the care and stewardship of gifts in wills supporters, lay executors and family members of our generous donors. They will also operate within the wider fundraising operations team, working alongside supporter care and fundraising compliance with the aim of optimising all donations made to Versus Arthritis. This will require effective communication, efficient time and diary management, flexibility in approach to challenging issues and excellent organisational skills. An empathetic ear, patience and understanding are staple skills of this role, together with the ability to speak compassionately and sensitively to bereaved families.

Key requirements

  • A strong teamwork ethos and enthusiasm are essential.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • A good standard of education; minimum GCSE at Grade C or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
