Location: Office-based (London/Chesterfield)
Hours: Full-time with possible weekend working
Salary: £32,000 pa (London), £29,000 pa (rest of UK) – pro-rata if applicable

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Online Community Team as our Online Community Officer. This exciting position is for someone who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can lead and motivate volunteers and members of our Online Community.

About the role

In this role you will work with the Senior Online Community Officer and a team of dedicated volunteers in the running of Versus Arthritis’ Online Community ensuring that it delivers an effective peer to peer support platform for people living with arthritis in the UK. Our goal is to inform and empower people via this service and to support people living with arthritis to take control and make informed decisions about how they live their lives with arthritis.

Key requirements

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • An understanding of peer support.
  • An understanding of the health and social care landscape in the UK.
  • You’ll be an excellent communicator, with proven experience in managing online communities and the complexities of working online.
  • You’ll be an organised individual, able to structure your days and manage competing priorities.
  • You will need to be motivated, able to work on your own initiative and adaptable to change.

You can be home or office based and therefore travel is involved. At times, there will also be additional travel for team meetings and training events.
