Location: Homeworker – Northern Ireland
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Summary

We are recruiting for a Regional Officer to help us develop and shape the work Versus Arthritis does in local communities across Northern Ireland.  Through the ‘Together Versus Arthritis’ project we aim to build partnerships with local communities to reach and support more people with arthritis; including creating new peer-support groups, raising awareness of arthritis as a condition and improving the support and opportunities available to people with arthritis in local areas.

About the role

You will be responsible for creating and supporting a local network of people, professionals and organisations - building strong, lasting relationships within the community.  You will bring together people, professionals and organisations to volunteer as Local Touchpoints and help us connect people with arthritis to advice, support and opportunities.

Key requirements

To be successful in the role, you will be committed to Versus Arthritis values and behaviours as well as having:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of excellent relationship management with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with volunteers including identifying, recruiting and supporting volunteers as well as knowledge of best practice in volunteer management. 
  • Experience of community development approaches.
