What is volunteering?
Our volunteers play a vital role in raising funds and raising awareness about the pain of arthritis. We couldn't operate without them.
Volunteering is a great way to:
- develop and share your skills
- meet new people
- work with a team that's passionate about making a difference.
However you choose to donate your time, your contribution will help us to transform lives and find a cure for arthritis.
Collections are a really great way to raise much-needed funds and also raise awareness about arthritis in your area. You can collect at a local store or perhaps take responsibility for collection tins in public spaces like shops or pubs in your area.
Got a big event coming up in your town? Why not ask if you can hold a collection for Versus Arthritis? You can enlist the help of friends and family for the day to help you raise even more!
To register your interest in organising or supporting a collection, complete our volunteer registration form below.
Become a volunteer fundraising representative
If you’re as passionate as we are about our fight against arthritis and would like to make a difference in your area, why not give your time as a volunteer fundraising representative? This is a varied role and there are lots of ways that you'd be able to help us raise money to find a cure and increase awareness of the important work that the charity does.
Being a volunteer fundraising representative is all about helping us grow, encourage and inspire communities across the UK that are committed to fighting the pain of arthritis and creating change for the people living with that pain every day.
Whether you’d be happy to say a few words of thanks at an event on our behalf, meet with community groups, scout potential opportunities for us to fundraise, or promote our work in your area, you can help us find a cure for arthritis.

Organise your own event
Organising your own fundraising activity can be fun, and it really helps to make a difference. Organise a walk, a run, a pub quiz, live music or a ball. Whatever you decide to do, we’ll be on hand to support you every step of the way.

Help shape our research activities
If you have experience of some form of arthritis – as someone with arthritis, a carer, family member or friend – and would like to help us to make sure that the research we fund is of the highest standard and relevance to people with arthritis, why not become a Patient Insight Partner?
Find out more about the role of Patient Insight Partners and register your interest by completing our volunteer registration form below.
Support our online community
Our online community is a buzzing community of people supporting each other, sharing experiences and creating conversation around living with arthritis.
We're looking for volunteers to become moderators of the forum. Your role will be to oversee that the forum is used appropriately and that there's a safe and comfortable environment for people to chat.
