Calling all 11 to 16-year-olds, we need your help

Are you 11 to 16-years-old? If so, we need your help!

We are launching an exciting project to improve the information and support we offer to young people.

But we can only do this with the help of the experts – and by this we mean you!   If you’re aged between 11 and 16 and have arthritis or a similar condition, we’d love to hear from you.

To get involved, ask your parent/ carer to fill in this form >

Join us

Join our expert panel and tell us what information would help young people, and what that information should look like – so that people your age will want to read, watch or listen to it.

You are the expert about living with your health condition. You know the challenges, and you know the things that can make life that little bit easier. You may also have questions and worries of your own that other young people could help you with.

Meet other young people and share your story

For the first time ever, we will be using an online research platform to allow you, our young people to:

  • log on and share your stories and opinions in an interesting and safe way
  • have the chance to meet others your age online who are going through similar experiences

For giving up some of your time to take part in the research community you will receive a small thank you in the form of a shopping voucher. We can also provide you with a certificate and the skills and experience you gain will look fantastic on your CV or personal statement.

What’s involved

As a Young Expert you will take part in our “Ask the expert” months. The next one will be starting soon, with the theme of “Every Day Life” where you can share your thoughts about school, friends and relationships.

Each week there will be three opportunities to share your thoughts and opinions. This could be through online chats, voting, brainstorms, debates, videos, telling us what you like/ dislike about something and more.

Each activity will take about 20 minutes, but you can do it in your own time, whenever suits - at home or on the go.
