Lateral longitudinal MCP joint scan

The patient sits, hand pronated, arm supported. The probe is placed longitudinally on the lateral aspect of the metacarpophalangeal joint. The metacarpal head and base of proximal phalynx are visualised. This view is used to study for erosions.
