Lateral longitudinal PIP joint scan

The patient sits, hand pronated, arm supported. The transducer is placed longitudinally on the lateral aspect of the proximal interphalangeal joint. Proximal phalynx and middle phalynx are visualised. This view is used to study for erosions.
