The patient sits, hand pronated, arm supported. The probe is placed longitudinally on the ulnar side of the dorsum of the wrist over the sixth compartment of extensor tendons. Extensor carpi ulnaris, ulnar bone, triangular fibrocartilage and triquetral bone are visualised.
