Volar longitudinal scan of the wrist

The patient sits, hand supinated and supported. The probe is placed transversely, identifying the median nerve, and then rotated through 90o to image the median nerve in longitudinal view. The median nerve, flexor tendons, radius and carpal bones are visualised.
