We're here for you
Thank you for agreeing to act as executor, we are very grateful for your commitment to carrying out these wishes.
We understand this may be an emotional and difficult time for you. While we are unable to provide legal advice, our Legacy Administration team are here to guide you through the process. You can find their details at the bottom of this page.
The information we need from you
For all gifts left to Versus Arthritis, please provide us with your name and contact details so we can properly thank and receipt the gift we receive. You will not be added to any of our mailing lists. We also need the full name of the Deceased, their last address and date of death.
The additional information we need will depend on the type of gift that has been bequeathed to us.
If we have been left a share of an estate (a residuary gift), we would be very grateful to receive the following by email or post:
- A copy of the Will
- Grant of probate
- A summary of the income and expenditure of the estate up until final distribution
- A tax deduction certificate (form R185). You can download this from the gov.uk website.
This information enables us to comply with the obligations placed upon Versus Arthritis by our auditors and the Charity Commission.
If we have been left a specific amount (a pecuniary gift), you do not need to send us any of the information listed above, but we would be grateful to receive the full name of the Deceased, their last address and date of death.
If you are not sure which type of gift we have been left, or which information you need to send, please contact us on the details provided at the bottom of this page. We will be happy to help you.
